The Maples Estate is a nontraditional wedding and event venue specializing in weekend long events! We are so excited for you to visit and want to ensure you enjoy every moment of the celebration! Where are you located?
We are located at 238 Schoharie Hill Rd, Schoharie NY, 12180 which is within Schoharie County, just north of the Catskill Mountains and approx. 35 minutes west of Schenectady. Nearby towns include Middleburgh and Cobleskill.
What is there to do nearby?

Are there any hotels nearby?
There are a couple of hotels nearby as well as motels, bed and breakfasts and airbnbs all within 15 minutes drive. You may also choose to stay in the capital region or Catskills for additional lodging options. See HERE for lodging nearby!
How do I get there from the airport, bus or train station?
You can easily find an Uber or Lyft driver or arrange other transportation from Albany, Schenectady and other nearby locations. You may also rent a car from any of these locations as well. We are located approx. 40 minutes west from Albany and 35 minutes from Schenectady, just above the Catskills.
Is there Uber or Lyft services while I’m in Schoharie?
While you may be able to find the occasional driver, it’s always best to call ahead and schedule transportation.
Are you LGBTQ+ BIPOC friendly?
Yes! We want you to feel comfortable expressing your truest self here at The Maples Estate. We see, value and appreciate any and every gender, skin color, ethnicity and sexual orientation. We believe that love is love!
Do you host events other than weddings?
Yes! The Maples Estate can accommodate a wide range of events including team building and yoga retreats, writers weekends, family reunions, festivals, parties, company meetings, photo shoots and location filming! Have something else in mind? We would love to connect with you to learn more!
Do you have parking onsite?
Yes! We have a parking lot for 50+ cars and can accommodate overflow parking in the field.
Can I wear heels?
Much of the property is grass or gravel so if you are looking for some height, we suggest that you wear block heel or platform shoes so you do not sink in!
What restrooms do you have onsite?
For many events we will have a luxury restroom trailer with individual stalls. They have running water, electricity, heating and cooling and even music! Please note that these units do have a couple of stairs so plan accordingly. For those staying in the farmhouse onsite, there are three restrooms located in the house. These are not accessible for individuals attending the wedding that are not staying onsite.
1855 Colonial Farmhouse
If you are staying in the farmhouse onsite you are in for a treat! The farmhouse was built in 1855 and boasts impressive details with plenty of space to spread out and relax with your closest friends and family!

How many bedrooms / baths are there?
The farmhouse has five private bedrooms plus a bunk room with three bathrooms. See HERE a link to view images for each room of the farmhouse!
Do I need to bring a towel or bedding?
We provide bath towels, pool towels and all your bedding as well as some toiletries incase you forget something.
Is there a kitchen in the house?
Yes! There is a kitchen with 6 burner range and oven, a double wall oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, sinks, microwave, coffee maker, hot water boiler and more! The kitchen is stocked with plates, silverware, cups, mugs, utensils, pots, pans, cooking utensils, spices and more!
Is there a grill?
Yes! We have a large webber grill which is available for use by guests.
Is there a TV? What about board games?
We have three televisions in the house, bedroom 1, 2 and in the bunk room. We also have an assortment of board games so you can have fun together with your group!
Do you have a bluetooth speaker?
We do have a bluetooth speaker in the farmhouse as well as a record player with a wide selection of new and vintage records.
Is there a pool?
Yes! Bring your bathing suit so you can swim Memorial Day through mid-September!
